Looking for loopholes in pharmaceutical industry regs?

When the government recently issued its suggested restrictions on the products and price points pharmaceutical firms could use promotionally, it noted that items had to professionally benefit doctors and/or their patients and staff. Products such as pens and notepads were permitted as basic office supplies. Other items were a little tougher to justify. Enter Supply Marketing Inc., a small King of Prussia, PA firm, which is offering doctors ad-bearing products that are definitely legit. They include imprinted paper covers for examination tables, bandages, tongue depressors and rubber-glove boxes. And Supply Marketing points out that the ads don't necessarily have to be medical- or drug-oriented. A cable TV company, for example, could put its ad message on exam-table paper or other items. While at least one consumer group is protesting the firm's efforts, only 12 doctors of 2,000 contacted refused to accept the free products. Give you any ideas?
